Among the later arrivals were George Kolb and Balzer Kolb, both settling in Somerset County, Pennsylvania in 1780; and Gotlieb Kolb who arrived in 1828 and settled at Germantown, Pennsylvania, where a number of his descendants lived.
The records do not show that the name Kulp or Culp was ever used by the early emigrants. It is, however, recorded that one Frederich Kulp, born in Darmstadt, Germany, in 1834, came to America, serving as a notary public and justice of the peace. He died August 20, 1871 [link to Subpage 7.6].
